It Started with a Simple Question

Friday, 2:15 PM. My phone buzzes with a message from a client I'd helped a few times before. He's a lighting designer, working on a big interactive art piece for a downtown plaza. The subject line: "urgent - what happens if you wire a light switch backwards?"
